DB2 - the secret database

into DB2 today, much of which I wasn't aware of.
Apparently "more structured data is stored in DB2 than in any other database engine". It also holds the speed record, in terms of transactions a minute. "At 3.2 million transactions per minute the system would be able to support one purchase from every person on the planet every four days". Oracle is apparently only half that speed.
