Garden Furniture

Thursday 13th July, 2006
Well, there was no point in getting a BBQ with nothing to sit on outside. We dwelled on the Garden Furniture decision for quite a few days.

There was a set of Kettler Royal Garden furniture we really like in John Lewis, but there were a few issues with it.

1) The design was a little grown up and made me feel a bit old.

2) The supplied cushions that came with the set had an
awful fabric design

3) The entire set cost no less than £1200 - quite a bit for garden furniture.

We ended up at our local Wyevale Garden Centre who happened to also stock Kettler stuff. Sure enough they has some similar Royal Garden designs.

We ended up with this table and  6 chairs, a snip at just £927 with free delivery:

These feature the Kettler "Sintler" coating. As they put it...

This is a combination of nylon and aluminium granules, applied by a thermal process, giving coating to metal seven times thicker than normal paint, completely encapsulating and sealing the metal from the elements, which enables us to guarantee our products against rust for a full five years.

5 year corrosion warranty, no wood treatment and stackable chairs. Sold!
