    What were you trying to install on? I guess this means I wouldn't be able to stream music from my Windows 2003 server then huh? :-(

    And you're not running either of these???

    I'm running Windows 2003 on the machine on which I attempted to install the controller. Works fine on my XP clients.

    It's happily streaming the music from a Windows 2003 share, I just can't run the controller on the same box.

    Ah a solution: { Link }

    Seems it works perfectly, just an out-of-date installer.

    Sonos does not support Server O/S's. The installer is correct when it reports 2000/XP is required.

    The reasoning is that Sonos is a mass market product. Hence, personal O/S's only are supported both from a software, QA and tech support perspective.

    Thanks, Chris (Sonos Support)
