As seen in a recent Talk Talk broadband Television commercial:

Disconnection fee applies

Ouch, why am I reminded of the Eagles' hit "Hotel California"...you can check out any time you like.

Don't worry though, this all runs of the same Carphone Warehouse billing system as their phone contracts. Originally designed for about 100,000 customers, it's now handling around 20 million...overloaded is not the word...apparently part of the reason they sent all the Vodafone contracts back to Singlepoint Vodafone.

CPW doesn't hide the fact that it's an 18 month contract when you sign up.

If you try to leave before the 18 months is up - you will have to pay a disconnection fee.

After 18 months, there is no fee.

There's got to be some way to stop Broadband churn - just like there is with mobile contracts.

Majority of ADSL providers in the UK have a contract length of 12 months or more (including BT, Wanadoo, etc).
